Zircon White gloss glaze for mid-fire stoneware, 1130–1170°C. Ready to brush on, in a 500ml tub.
From our RPM Vision range, Zircon White is a ready-to-use gloss glaze for mid-fire firings at 1130–1170°C. It fires to a smooth, glassy, high-shine surface. A clean white that works well as a base coat or under other colours.
Stir the glaze thoroughly. Brush the first coat onto clean, dust-free bisque ware and let it dry, then add a second coat. Depending on the thickness you want, apply a third or fourth coat. For best results, let the glaze dry for a day before firing.
Fire to around 1150°C. Holding (soaking) the kiln at top temperature for 10–20 minutes gives a smoother surface and brings out effects more strongly.
