RK 3D fascinates because of its silent running and its high tractive power. It has a brushless direct drive motor (direct current) which has a high torque at all speeds. Combined with a „high-tech“ positive feedback controller the motor will maintain the chosen speed under all load conditions, even under downward pressure. No annoying noise or vibration is felt since there are no belts, gears or drive components. This guarantees an extremely smooth running when throwing a piece. The motor is the only internal building part in a closed rugged metal case. Switching the wheel on or off can be done very precisely. The wheel-head made of aluminum has a diameter of 300mm. The wheel-head turns freely in the off position of the motor which allows it to be used as banding wheel. The inbuilt motor safety switch protects the machine against overstrain.
