Description
Bring colour to your mid-fire stoneware with Metal Black, a semi-matt brush-on glaze from the RPM Vision range for 1130–1170°C. It fires to a soft satin sheen. A deep black that gives strong contrast against lighter glazes and bare clay.

How to apply
Stir the glaze thoroughly. Brush the first coat onto clean, dust-free bisque ware and let it dry, then add a second coat. Depending on the thickness you want, apply a third or fourth coat. For best results, let the glaze dry for a day before firing.
Fire to around 1150°C. Holding (soaking) the kiln at top temperature for 10–20 minutes gives a smoother surface and brings out effects more strongly.
