Amber Brown gloss glaze for stoneware, 1200–1260°C. Ready to brush on, in a 500ml tub. Not food safe – for decorative pieces only.
This glaze is not acid-resistant. We advise not to use these glazes for eating and drinking vessels.
From our RPM Vision range, Amber Brown is a ready-to-use gloss glaze for high-fire firings at 1200–1260°C. It fires to a smooth, glassy, high-shine surface.
Stir the glaze thoroughly. Brush the first coat onto clean, dust-free bisque ware and let it dry, then add a second coat. Depending on the thickness you want, apply a third or fourth coat. For best results, let the glaze dry for a day before firing.
Fire to around 1250°C. Holding (soaking) the kiln at top temperature for 10–20 minutes gives a smoother surface and brings out effects more strongly.
